Supervision

Tuned In Consulting offer supervision to both individuals and teams, drawing on a range of approaches and models, and also provide tailored supervision training programs for supervisors.
Carolyn Cousins is considered a subject matter expert in relation to clinical supervision by the AASW and undertook development of, and regularly runs, their Advanced Supervision Program and their Group Supervision Training.
While working at the Tavistock & Portman Clinic, Carolyn was trained in the Balint Model of Group Supervision and studied other models for supporting supervisors. Various programs have been run in the past that have more recently led to the development of the TISS Program (Tuned In Supervisor Support).
A number of workshops related to supervision are also available for individuals to join or for organisations.

Tuned In Supervisor Support (TISS) Program
Most clinical supervisors are not providing supervision full time, which means that it is hard to prioritise professional development specifically as a supervisor.
Many supervisors have stepped into the role without specific training or having undertaken a short course. The supervision literature, whilst vast, can be confusing, and often those offering supervision struggle to have dedicated time to grow in their supervision knowledge.
The TISS program offers a supportive and affordable environment in which to continue your growth as a supervisor and hold yourself accountable for providing quality supervision provision.
It offers a mixture of professional learning input alongside a space to share and discuss your own supervisory practice dilemmas with others.
Set up by Carolyn Cousins, a social worker and adult educator who has published widely in relation to supervision and facilitates training in Advanced and Group Supervision with the AASW, the TISS program is designed to meet a gap in ongoing professional development in a financially and time effective way.
